Both boys grinned and Zeke realized that forgiveness, and letting go of anger, felt good.

As Dylan got into the line of students, waiting to board his bus, he heard Zeke call to him, “Hey Dylan, do you want to come to my birthday party on Saturday?”

“I would like that but I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed,” called Dylan. “Can I let you know after I ask my mom?” Zeke nodded as they each boarded their own school bus.

When Zeke’s parents got home from work, Mrs. Tuttle stayed to hear him tell the story again, about how Dylan apologized, and Zeke forgave him. The grown-ups were proud of Zeke and thought it was great that he invited Dylan to the party. They all decided to celebrate with a special dinner and Mrs. Tuttle was going to stay to join them!
